So i have 3-4 week baby crow, and i was wondering, if his crop is full, should i wait til its empty to feed him again? i feel like feeding him every 3-4 hours is way too much. i feed him 2 giant mealworms and about 2-3cc of bird formula, which is what the vet instructed.

Please dont lecture me on the wildlife stuff, ive already done everything i could.

Thank you

  1. If you know how to check the crop, you can gently push on it  and i mean gently  and then you can see your self if its full, i hand raised all my quakers but one and thats what i did.

  2. How fast is his crop emptying out?  As long as it's not taking too long (more than a few hours) to empty, I would wait until he is empty or almost empty to avoid sour crop/a fungal infection.

Good luck.  I've heard they are fun birds to have around.

  3. Yes,because if that old stuff lays in there it can spoil.Did you know crows are very good talkers,i wanted one but they build their nests to high up in the trees.
