Should i wait to buy the psp-3000 or go ahead and buy the psp-2000?

the 3000 should arrive in america in 09 i think.

i think you should wait for the psp 3000. the difference is  that in psp there is a home button but in psp 3000 there will be a playstation icon button just like the ps3 has it. it will have a better screen so when you play games you should be able to see the difference . it will also have built in mic for skype. psp 3000 is a upgrade to psp 2000 and besides its not coming in 09,  its coming out at the end of 08. The release date is october 15, 2008. And that's not far away, only few weeks.
