so ive been reading about hamster for past 2 weeks now and i feel im ready for one but only problem is that i want to keep the hamster in my room(i wouldn't mind the noise from the hamster b.c i stay up all night anyway) but my grandma is visiting for the next month and i lend her my room so i would keep my future hamster in the living room but i'm scared it will get used to it and maybe get stressed if i moved it to my room after my grandma leaves, also it been going away but we had a slight ant problem in the living room (ugh, i know) maybe i should wait right?

  1. Well you might want to get the hamster because 1 it will get used to being moved around and about the different rooms in your house and 2 the hamster should get used to people that he doesn't know besides you.Get the hamster its a really cute animal and everybody will love it.

  2. I wouldnt worry about it. I moved my hamsters into different rooms, they didn't mind. Just as long as they stay in theyre cage. It's up to you if you want to wait to get a hamster.

  3. Don't worry. Hamsters are use to being moved around and a change of location will actually make life interesting for the hamster.

    Some other tips:

-Get a ten gallon tank instead of a cage.

-Get a Teddy Bear hamster because they are the nicest.

-Make sure you have an exercise ball.

    -Jean

  4. chillax. your hamster will be fine.

it won't get stressed to the point that it'll die.

  5. I seriously doubt moving from one room to the other will stress out the hamster.

The ants I'm not sure about. Could you put the hamster cage far away from any other food source? Ants won't be interested in the seeds you give the hamster.
