  1. Need to correct her to adopt the proper time of sleep.

Night time she should sleeps throughout and when she is hungry may be you need to just wake to feed her.

However day time if she over sleeps than should wake her up otherwise her timing is wrong..

  2. Yeah, she's only 3 weeks old she should at least eat every 3 to 4 hrs. It's a little too early to try to put her on a sleep schedule to sleep through the night.

  3. She's got her nights and days mixed up. You are going to have to try to keep her up more during the day. Try not to let her sleep for more then 2 hours at a time during the day. It's hard to say though because she's only 3 weeks..but you want to get her days and nights on track. Keep her in bright, busy places in the house during the day.

  4. I would be keeping her up during the day...

  5. Honestly, the best piece of advice I got was too try to keep baby awake during the day as much as you can, to try to get them to sleep at night.  This was really hard in the beginning because my girl had colic really bad and we were just ecstatic whenever she would go to sleep.

  6. yeah you need to get her on track now.. dont wait.  my son had the same problem and the pediatrician told me i have to keep him up during the day.... do this by keeping it loud and bright during the day, and at night... NO talking, strictly business ( diaper change, bottle, back to bed)... keep it dark and quiet. She even suggested using a cold rag to wake him up, or giving a bath, or anything that would get him up.. touching the palms of his hands worked for some reason..

that way, they start to associate night with sleep and day with playtime and bright lights :)

once your baby gets to 10 lbs, its safe to let him or her sleep through feedings.. until then, i'd wake her up.  and in your case, 9 = 9am.. which is DAY time, so yes definitely wake her up!  :)  congrats and good luck!
