  1. You should wear your old hearing aids until you get your new hearing aids if you do not want to get kicked off the college course.

  2. Just wear them and think of the people who are really deaf, so much so that hearing aids wont make one iota of difference.

  3. Wear them. Something is better than nothing.

I've been in your shoes before, when I had to wear old hearing aids while new ones were being made. I was stuck with that for a couple of weeks and it drove me crazy.

My new ones were worth the wait though...I love them. I can hear so much better...although with being mostly deaf, anything would be an improvement.  :)

  4. you said you can hear slightly with them and also you will get kicked off the course if you dont wear them ;so if college is important to you, I say you answered your own question

  5. Absolutely. There is no reason not to.

  6. Why the hesitation?

If the old ones aren't loud enough, they can't hurt you -- unless they aren't confortable. Anyway, this is for a short while only. Still, explain the situation to whoever is responsible so they understand why you may not hear well.

  7. Dont worry x

You should wear your old hearing aid in the college, and wear until you get new ones. If they complain that you didn't respond to them or anything like that, you could explain to them that you could not hear very well in your hearing aid but let them know that you will be getting new ones in October.

Let them know ASAP that you're mildly deaf when you meet them.

If you are uncomfortable wearing the old ones, you could ask them if you could take it off because you feel uncomfortable and it's irritating you.

I know how you feel, but don't worry they are not very strict on deaf thingys.

Don't wait until you get them, because when you try on the new ones you will , erm it's hard to explain. immediately JUMP when you hear the noises because it would be very loud as if you were not wearing old hearing aids for a month.

    Excuse my grammar, SORRY!
