  1. My daugher aged 18 tried this.

Went off to Gibraltar leaving a good office job - to work in

    a pub/bar.

She only lasted 9 days and was desperate to come home.

Things look very diffrent when you have to live in it.

Dont be afraid to try it though at least then you cant look back

    and wonder what if!

Try and weigh up what you are leaving behind.

  2. Hm.. Well, if you liked it last time, yes. Follow your dreams, but don't forget the ones you love - they care and worry about you, which is why they're trying to talk you out of it.

    Good Luck!

  3. hiya i have just returned from working in a club in tenerfie as a pr.It is great fun but you have to prepare yourself for crazzzy hours i worked from 7-4.30 and u have to beg for a night off haha.we all went out after as clubs close at 7 in morn.I met the best ppl eva and dont regret doing it at all.The best part was u can hammerd whilst working i wasnt sober for one night as we didnt have to pay for any drinks so you have to take advantage! The money isnt bad as really if u only earl 30 euro a night ur sorted!and as a pr i was earnin no less than 70 a night. If u are set on workin behind a bar ur be on basic rate so id say 30-40 euro a night which is fine.I rekon u shud go 4 it i loved it u just have to be thick skinned as everyone has bad days x*x

  4. its not as simple as that, a few of my friends have done it,

you wont alwats get a bar job no guarantee of that, plus you work long hours for s*hit money and you wont always feel like going out

you have to find your own accomadation and might have to live with someone you might not like,  i can go on and on but cant be bothered

  5. Go for it. There is only one expert on YOU here on this planet, and that's the person who stares back at you out of the bathroom mirror.

If it really is a s*ithole and you hate it, chuck the job and go home.

how sad would you be if you turned 50/60/70 years of age and regretted not doing it when you had the chance?

  6. no but if you work in a bar i doubt you'll have many evenings off! if you can speak spanish or are learning it'll be good for you and fun. But pick one in a good area or it may be a really bad experience.

  7. Well, I don't know about getting drunk every night, but working abroad for a year is a good experience and I think you might enjoy it. I think people who say you will hate it are thinking of themselves not liking it, not you.

  8. oh no it be awful, slave labour. And you will feel ill dringing all the time, yuk. no way.

  9. Try it its the only way you ll know

  10. i wen't to costa rica and helped run a bar for close to a year and i'd recomend that to any one anywhere

  11. what????? could you repeat your question.

  12. go and try it. its good to travel and see other cultures.
