Should i work at target or starbucks?

I have been offered two jobs next week: one as a barista at Starbucks Coffee Company and one as a Target... I don't know which one to take... My mom says to take the Starbucks job, and she's usually right, but i love Target's clothes and furniture and EVERYTHING (with a 10% discount)... But I would be getting tips from Starbucks... HELP PLZ

  1. Yips are great however It would depend on the number of starbucks in your area as starbucks is currently downsizing and closing at least 25% of their locations,

      And I am sure that target offers more employee benefits including that discount you mentioned

Depends..........do you want to be looking for another job in the near future.  Starbucks is closing locations and consolidating, so that is not to your advantage.  Any job is what you make it, so whatever you choose, decide you're going to do your best, listen to your manager, and you'll get ahead in whatever job you do.  The golden rule for any employee:  "my job is to keep my boss's boss off my boss's back".  Think ahead to do that, and you'll always be successful.  GOOD LUCK with whatever you decide!

  5. I would go with Target, you yourself seem to be leaning towards it.

    Also, Starbucks is doing A LOT of downsizing so who knows? In a couple of months you may not even have a job. I'd go with Target, I'd say it's probably a more stable job and you get the discounts!

  9. i would take the target job because eny thing u want to bye is at target and u will get the dicount so i will get it because i  will be getting a lot of clothing there i hope u this helps u out thanks and also the only thing u might not want is sneakers but every thing els is cheaper for u and the people who say better what ever is geeks and geeks dont leave tips

  14. target clothes are kinda cheap... by that i mean that they aren't made to last more than a couple of years. take the starbucks job. coffee is awesome and you will probably be able to get free coffee which is even better. the other thing to consider is that depending on what area of the country you live in there may be many many starbucks locations. you could easily transfer to another store if you ever wanted to move
