Should i work out my chest today if i have an all day canoe trip tommorrow?

Ok, I usually work out monday wednesday and friday. Well, today is monday and I am supposed to work on building my chest muscles. However, we have a school canoe trip scheduled tommorrow starting at 8 AM and ending at around 2 PM.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea for me to still work out today? I will probably have sore chest muscles tommorrow, but I don't want to work them even more, as that could to more damage.

back is out of the question because I'm still sore from friday, and I would be using my biceps and triceps for canoeing tommorrow.

What should I do? Work out today, or hold off?

Thanks to those that help.

  1. Hold off, because this is a canoe trip with people who might be more tippy than reader, so the all day event really amounts to how many capsize the hull takes before supply of dry clothing change expires.  Not everyone deserves their opportunity to share the ability to flip a hull several times before lunch.  Single cockpit kayaks are better.  Only the clowns get wet and others remain dry.  There is less finger pointing by a clown as to whose fault the capsize belongs to.

  2. definitlety rest the pecs today man, you don't want to work 'em out two days in a row...you've got the right idea.

  3. switch up your legs and chest this week, your legs will be in a resting position and will like the recovery from not walking tomorrow. dont do chest as your muscle will be over worked, not in particulary stregenth but endurance wise. i would just do legs today have a blast tomorrow and make the chest up when you can.

  4. i would wait, oaring a canoe for a long period of time is a lot of exercise. if u r going to workout today do legs.
