  1. In case, see your vet.

  2. yes actually because they can cut up there insides they could die use a plastic or metal bowl anything that can not harm them

  3. I've had gerbils for over 14 years and there is no problem with using a glass bowl. But, the ceramic bowls are the best and they only cost a couple dollars.  However, you do have to change out the bowl constantly, as shavings will get in there.

They shouldn't be able to chew through glass, unlike plastic and wood.

I would suggest purchasing a water bottle instead, and a good brand is Lixit.

    Good luck to you!!! :)

  4. I don't think it's a good idea to have a glass bowl in a hamster cage. They could get hurt. I would replace it with one of the ceramic bowls.

  5. I am  not sure  if they  could  break  it  but would  think  its  safer  to use   one  specially made  for them.

  6. yeh i reckon you should take it out..get a tin one or ceremic... they are only gonna hurt they're teeth and they'll stop nawring on it. i had to do that with my rabbit

  7. They should have a water dispenser to drink out of, one that hangs on the side of the cage and has a stopper in it. That way they will have access to water and they will not pile stuff into their bowl of water.

They should not be strong enough to break the glass on the bowl, but if you are worried you can get a ceramic one. I had gerbils for years and never had them break a ceramic bowl.

They will chew on pretty much anything you give them, even if its plastic. If you give them the center cardboard part of your toliet paper rolls they will chew them up and make bedding. It is a inexpensive toy.

  8. I wouldn't leave the glass with them if they chew off a piece it would be very very dangerous if ingested. It would cut their little insides. :-(

  9. no, keep using the glass bowl. its probly alot better to use glass rather then plastic.

  10. put a metal bowl in they cant chew on that!!
