Question:

Should i worry about the numbness in my fingertips?

ok for the past hour and a half i have been feeling a numbness in my fingertips. i have never had this before and it is just strange and beginning to aggravate me. i am in my mid teens and i am a student athlete (wrestler) and i'm in good physical condition but this is just odd and I'm beginning to worry about it so i thought i would ask just in case. PLEASE HELP.

  1. You should worry about this and go see a octor right away.  It could be periferal neuropathy that can have several causes and you need to get it checked out asap.

  2. you may seem like your too young, but if the numbness persists, get it checked out. my friend is only 17 years old and she developed carpol tunnel in her arm (not sure of the spelling).  usually numbness in the fingertips can be a result of that. and since you are using your arms for wrestling and im not sure if you over excessively use your arms, there could be a chance you are developing carpol tunnel, or maybe just worn out muscles

  3. I had a problem like that at band camp last year,  I got numb, and then i couldn't see.  I eventually got sick, and then everything was better.  I believe it was from dehydration and heat exhaustion.

  4. Read up on Reynaud's syndrome too.
