  1. If you are an employee then the answer is no,otherwise its yes

  2. Privatisation is a good idea.  Privatisation will improve the over-all functioning of Indian railways.  Most of the Government offices are not customer friendly.  Delays/corruption/bandhs/hartal/rallies/... unions destroying the efficiency of the Government functioning/unclean Government offices/absolutely no customer services/inefficiency/red tapism/party wise politics/party wise litigation for the politicians/rowdisms/mafia gangisms/too many holidays/worst reservation policies of various Governments/anti Hindu forces indulging in violence/anti Hindu forces competing/interfering wrongly with Hindus with regard to peaceful working of Hindu temples all over India/ all these makes majority of the people of India suffer.  Unfortunately, people suffer because people don't cooperate with Government departments.

  3. It would be better to privatise  few operations and opt for a public-private joint venture in rest . Under Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav's reign , Railways has become a financially stronger unit and is making profits . So rushing on to privatisation in a full-fledged manner at this point does not seem a good idea.

  4. RAILWAYS NEED NOT PRIVATISED; BUT IT CAN BE PARTNERED WITH THE GIANT INDUSTRIALISTS LIKE AMBANIES, TATAS, BIRLAS, ETC.

IF A PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY ENTERS INTO THE MANAGEMANET POSITION OF A GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION LIKE RAILWAY (THE BIGGEST CORPN.)

ITS WORKING CAN BE MONITERED VERY WELL.

AND AT THE SAME TIME PROFITABILITY WILL DEFINITELY INCREASE.

    AKRAM.

  5. Not if they are privatised on the British model where the traditional vertical integration of the railways was totally destroyed. The train operators have no responsibility for the track and signalling and don't even own the rolling stock, but have to pay vast sums to lease from the three Rolling Stock Companies (ROSCOs), owned by big banks. Here the Government still has to pay vast sums out to support the railways and I think it is the same in every country in the world (certainly for passenger services). That being the case, they might as well remain in public ownership

  6. YES IT 'S ..............THE WAY TO PERFECTION .............N GLOBALISATION .AND PRIVATE COMPANY COULD BE MORE PRODUCTIVE N INNOVATIVE ..............IT CAN TAKE INDIAN RAILWAY TO SUCCESS

  7. no i guess.... lallu prasad is doin a fairly gud job.... who has transformed a loss makin organisation to a profit making one... lets nt get snobbish abt privatisatiion..n rather giv applause to d rare gud things done by d govt...!
