Thousands of innocent people are added to the UK DNA database every year. Its almost impossible to get yourself removed. But does it criminalise you by being on it? Does it increase your chances of falsely being charged with a crime?

What are your thoughts?

  1. I think there should be a world dateabase were everyone borning is on it. That way if you do something we have your dna and its easyer to find you

  2. they get us one way or the other, the only good thing is, the ones that handle this data are a bungling bunch of idiots.

  3. People could be convicted of crimes because their DNA (an eyelash, for example) could easily be planted at a crime scene.

It will be better when we're transplanted with a chip at birth that is linked to satnav and cameras because that way they will be able to track you 24 hours a day (they won't need the Vehicle Number Plate Recognition we have throughout the UK, because if they're tracking you, they won't need to track your car). Like others have said above, what's the problem if you haven't committed a crime? And just think, one day, when the chip is REALLY sophisticated, the men with cropped hair and tight uniforms will be able to pick you up before you committed that crime you were thinking about. Then we'll all really be safe.

  4. I belive so. If you commit a crime and you have your DNA on it.. BAM your caught. No. No.

  5. I can't see the issue if you are innocent! Personally I would like to see every persons DNA on a database, the only people that ever complain about this idea are the liberals who have slowly given all the protection in our society to the criminal.

  6. Police is not only handling criminal. They may also do recuse work. In addition, if the database is with police, they may look after it securely.

  7. what do they have to hide? should be compulsry at birth

  8. I say yes.  If something happens to you, they would have your dna and could match it to your remains.  Or if you commited a crime, then they could catch you.  Don't do the crime if you cant do the time!

  9. police, that word just make me laugh my a$s off, i don't know why
