Should instant coffee be stored in the fridge and what are the benefits of doing so?

  1. I believe that only works when you are dealing with whole beans and not after the fact they have already been grounded


  2. I never have and I've been drinking it for years.  Some store their coffee beans in the freezer with the thought that it keeps them fresher longer.

  3. its a myth that freezers and fridges keeps coffee fresher longer.

    what really keeps coffee freshest is keeping it at room temperature and make sure it is closed air tight.

    coffee gives off gas, and once it hits the air, it releases those gasses...  and starts to become stale.

    (and i know this is an instant coffee question, but just to let you know.... buying coffee whole bean, and grinding it before you use it... is when its the most fresh!)

  4. It doesn't matter. You can store it in the pantry if you'd like.
