  1. I'm thinkin "an" if you spell out the letters, and "a" if you say the words out.

    The letter M has a vowel sound.


  2. Absolutely right, BlueGreen. It has to do with whether the word begins with a vowel sound ("emm...bee...") or a consonant sound "Masters...".

  3. it would be   AN   M.B.A. degree becase the letter m is spelled 'em' and begins with a vowel sound. however, if you say the words and not the acronym, it would be  "A ......."

    make sense?

    Cos the sound is like - AMBIAY

    so sounds better with An
