  1. That would depend on what types of crimes you are referring to.  If you are referring to violent crimes, ABSOLUTELY.  In most states, they are.

  2. YES YES YES.  Eliminate parole.  I don't have a problem with increasing fees and some taxes to build more prisons and keep these things in jail!!

If someone could explain what the heck "time off for good behavior" while in prison means, I'd appreciate the creative writing.

  3. Yes, We have a charge after 3 serious felony convictions. It's called the Habitual Offender Act and you can be tried on that charge alone after the 3rd conviction. It carries life w/o parole.

  4. Heck yes!

Sorry, but ioerr  is an idiot.  All dope smokers should be in jail.  Breaking the law IS breaking the law and dope smoking is breaking the law!

  5. No, I've been late taking my books back to the library three times and I don't want to go to jail for it.

  6. yes, and generally they are.

  7. Repeat offenders for what?  Parking violations?  Eating babies?

I think it makes a difference.  I think repeat offenders for smoking dope should never have been arrested in the first place, for example.
