  1. They do, but not all trials are heard by a jury, especially juveniles. Sometimes they have a bench trial because with juveniles, they usually don't let people sit in the courtroom.

    Usually, they waive that right to have the case heard in front of a judge or, in some places, a special juvenile court.

  3. The way it is now seems to work pretty well. Like the first guy said. They currently are arraigned and tried in front of a judge. If he (and the parents and lawyers) choose a jury of peers then it can happen.

    If you want to commit the crime, you can do the time.
