  1. Kimbo sux! Any organized fight with skilled competitors and he would get destroyed. He should stick to making bad videos with his hilljack friends

  2. Im pretty sure he used to be a pro boxer, I have seen a few pro boxing matches on the internet that claim to be him from long before the youtube days.

He wasnt any good, nor would he be if he tried again. He should just get as much money as he can while he has popularity and then go away and be happy he got some cash, he is not a good fighter, MMA or boxing.

  3. He would really get destroyed in Boxing... his cardio is way off to last 10 rounds... he is about to die after 3. He is no Mike Tyson.

  4. No - he should train at grappling and work on his cardio.  He has started a path of MMA and is training with Bas Rutten...can't find a much better role model if you are looking to hone skills as a power striker.

Anyway Kimbo's striking and footwork are sloppy, too.  He rarely covers and throws 90% power shots with 0 jab and very few combinations - combine that with lame cardio and he'd get killed as a pro boxer too.  His best defense is that ugly hard head and face of his...

Think of it this way - Kimbo gassed BADLY in round 1 of that garbage fight against Thompson - put that guy in a 12 rounder with Klitschko (either one) and he'd get beaten to a pulp for 11 rounds.

One MMA guy I would think could switch to boxing is Andre Arlovski - I've heard talk of him fighting as a HW boxer in the next year...THAT I'd like to see.

  5. Kimbo is a joke

  6. He is a street fighter. A common misconception about MMA and boxing is that street fighters automatically dominate, but they really don't. Boxing especially, because of the cardiovascular endurance, and it's just plain assinine to street fight in boxing. If a knockout doesn't get you, the points will.

  7. No. He should continue to work on his MMA game. He'll never be a top level competitor in the U.S. but i'm sure that if he goes to Japan, he could be as big as Bob Sapp. I'm pretty sure that after he loses a couple of fights, and EliteXC lets him go, Bas will probably steer him in that direction.
