Should knives be banned on buses after the greyhound beheading?

grab his arms from behind. take off your shirt and wrap it around your hand(s) and try to disarm while everyone is hitting him and taking him to the floor to stomp on.

Back to your question -  all knives? how would you regulate that? what about the homemade knives, it's not really that hard to make. what about sharpened pencils and pens? hard plastic straws?

No, if other passengers had been allowed to carry other forms of armament, maybe they could've saved the young man's life.  I don't think mental people should receive any different treatment.  If they commit a violent crime they've proved they can't be controlled and a values decision about the greater good for society needs to be made.
