Question:

Should liquid-cooled computers have the coolant replaced or just "top off" as it evaporates?

The liquid coolant I use is from Koolance and they recommend replacing the coolant every 2-3 years. A friend of mine says she's never replaced hers, but she also has stuff in her freezer before I was born. My comp temp averages between 29 and 40 C depending on room temp and gaming. If it stays there after the 2-3 year thing am I okay to leave coolant as is?

  1. The coolant is also a anti corrosive. After a couple of years that anti corrosive gets weaker and your stuff can start to corrode. That's the main point, for changing the fluid.
