  1. if God wants it to happen, trust me girl - it WILL happen.

Just because a couple is married doesn't mean they have time in their lives to raise an infant - shoving it off to a babysitter doesn't help anything, nor does it mean they have financial abilities to support the baby, so absolutely, they should be allowed to use a contraceptive. Either way, there are some people who don't have the same belief system and it would be wrong to ban contraceptives. That's like our nation's females being made to wear a head scarf because certain groups believe letting our hair out is indecent.

  2. Of course married people should be allowed to use contraceptives!! My husband and I are waiting until we are more financially stable and have a couple of things "out of the way" before we want kids. If God wants me pregnant, I don't think any contraceptive can stop it!

  3. If God had intended s*x to be for nothing but reproduction, He'd have given us no ability to have s*x *without* reproducing, and we'd have babies every time we have s*x (those of us without diseases or other conditions that would mess that up, of course).

  4. It is totally up to the couple i will be married soon and until i am happy i can support a child i will carry on with the pill.

No one should be told what they can and cannot do but the couple should make the decsion themselves.

  5. It should be up to the couple. Not all people want children.

  6. Its not Gods choice.

  7. What a naive and insulting question.

Let's address the lack of understanding you have first.  By the nature of your question You are assuming that all marriages are religious.  They aren't.  The state grants marriage licenses.  Secondly, even if marriage were only a religious institution you have made an assumption that all marriages are Christian and would have to abide by the same rules.  Other religions allow marriage.  Other religions allow birth control.

Yes - married people should be allowed use contraceptives.

    good luck!

  8. There is no cut and dried answer to this question. It really is ultimately up to the couple to decide, and this can be based on religious beliefs, family values, and traditions. Just because some people don't condone the use of contraceptives while married and accept children as a gift from God, does not make them right or wrong, any more than a couple that chooses to use contraception and so can plan when and how many children they want to have.
