  1. it no longer matters who is the best parent. its who has the most money, who can pay the lawyer to be dirty, who can pay the gardian ad litem, who can keep the kids in the "custom of which they have become", who can lie through his teeth with a smug smile and win over the judge, and who can buy off the kids...

(can you tell ive been burned by lawyers and the court system?)

the ex got his rich parents to pay for the lawyer and the gardian ad litem and get him a car and home and had me evicted and homeless so he could buy off the kids and they choose to live with him, cause after all, im now homeless and broke.. thats the thanks I got for 16 years of slavery and abuse I got from him... since the divorce ive been in the same home and have not moved once, and hes moved the kids 8 or 9 times, had 6 diff schools, and moved them 1300 miles away from me just as fast as he could and there wasnt a dam* thing I could do about it.

  2. Sure! And don't let anyone tell you that it can't be done. Dads can raise kids just as good as moms and sometimes better!

  3. an increasing amount of men today are awarded primary custody of the children..some time it is in the best interest of children to live full time with daddy

  4. I have custody of mine . Got custody when my son was 2 months old and daughter was 13 . My son is now 5 and doing good raised them myself . Dads can do just as well as moms i,m living proof . Don,t think its an easy job though especially when there in diapers now its a peace of cake . That motherly instinct is a load of c**p. It makes it sound as though men have no time for kids and are just sperm downers . Thing is men love there children as much as woman do and in some cases even more so .

  5. It all depends on the situation. Each case is different. Sometimes the father is more fit to raise the child, sometimes the mother is. If one has a steady job and the other is struggling financially, then it's pretty obvious. If the child is too young to be separated from the mother, then it's in the child's best interest for the mother to keep them. If the child is older, perhaps someone should ask them how they feel about it. Children have a way of knowing more than we tend to give them credit for and they might surprise you.

  6. I think it should be equal unless one of the parent's are bad

  7. older children yea prob especially if their boys. younger children and girls might want to remain with their mother.

  8. If all things are equal, why not shared custody?

Really though it should be whichever parent is best equipped to look after the child and what is best for the child. If the child wants to live with the dad, it'd be unfair of the courts to force that child to live with their mum, unless their dad isn't equipped to looked after the child properly.

  9. why not anymore seems like many do

  10. No its the maternal instinct that the courts are looking for when they award custody to mothers and its missing in fathers

  11. If he is better suited, then yes. I know men who have their kids most of the time.

Although a mom and dad are better than a single parent.

  12. Absolutely!  However, it does depend on the situation of both parents both financially and emotionally, as well as the reason for divorce.  I think it's great that any man would even fight for it.  I know plenty do but the sad fact is, most kids end up with their mothers just for the simple fact that they are the mother.  Leave gender out of it and place the children with the one best suited to care for them.

  13.   I hate to sound jaded, but I agree with unique.  If both parents want primary custody, then it's whoever has the best lawyer and/or the most money.  This is why a lot of people stay with their abusers if they have children together. They are afraid of their spouse's going after cutody and winning it.
