As long as there is Red there is hope its in the tank -or-suppose to be if not get one

you can splice a oil line and install an aftermarket but get something on it

Depends on the type of engine. But it should if not it would not start up with out it.

Name the type of engine and manufacture of the car.

Look in side the oil tank. If the tank has a big lid on it , that's probably where it is. I had a few of them. The filter has a little handle on it and fits inside the tank, When you take the tank lid off you should be able to see it, unless some one never replaced it.

yes.it should be in front of the motor.
