Currently she goes to both...am just wondering if now is a good time to introduce only preschool as I feel that she is only learning new skills at Preschool now and not at daycare. Has anyone else had this issue???

  1. Ask your daughter for her opinion: does she want to study or relax. if she cant tell you, maybe you should send her to daycare for a year, then send her to preschool next year. good luck!

  2. Hmmm... most preschool programs are for children ages 3-5.  There are usually toddler programs for 2 year olds.  So I'm a little confused here.  :-)

It sounds like a decision that is completely up to you.  They actually learn quite a bit in the day care setting...just not the obvious basic concepts.  :-)  I wouldn't be too concerned about it...once she turns 3 or 4 then I would be more apt to send her to an actual preschool program.  Good luck.

  3. at 2 years old, daycare would be enaugh... no skills really requred at that age

plus, if she learns too much while too little, she`ll lose interest when you take it to school and she will feel like she already knows more that the other kids...

every age and step has it`s own meaning and time of doing...

prescool is ok from 3 to 7 years old

  4. mother's day out to get her into the routine

    a 2 day week minum-school year program

  5. I would stick with this exact plan for another year then to preschool.

She is still needing naps in the afternoon right? If so why send her to school to sleep?

  6. 2 year olds can go to daycare not a preschool because your daughter is young she can only go to daycare your daughter should go to preschool when she is 4 years old is the best choice because when i was at preschool i repeated now every1 is picking on me:( so i suggest  take your daughter when is she 4 ok hope this helps

  7. I think she should only go to preschool then but if she really likes day care keep both.

My niece is in head start(a early preschool) and she can write words and shes only 3. Hollister, cat, her name, my name, my moms name, her moms name, fish, dog, kitten, mermaid, and a lot more.

  8. i think pre-school

  9. Well what I think is that you are doing good, since she is getting more education than most two year olds, but at the same time you have to realize that if you have her under to much pressure she can go through stress like we do, so try to take things slower and let her build up from that. Also I only wish my mom was as smart as you caz my lil sister is 2, and she is not in daycare but all the tv that she watches (which is bad!!!) she is able to say up to like 150 or more words both in english and spanish. So horray for you (hopefully your 2 yr.old does not watch a lot of tv)

  10. At two, if at all possible, she should be with your or a family member. That is the ideal situation. I sent my daughters to kindercare when I taught there and my 16 month old fell and fractured her arm. The stinking director never even apologized for that and I could have sued her pants off. I think that although there are good preschools and daycare out there, no one will take as good care of your child as you can. That is optimal. Daycare has an aspect of education so that seems to be the best fit, but for a two year old, you don't want too much focus on learning letters and numbers. PLAY should be number one as children learn SO MUCH from play.

  11. well i think you answered yourself there if you dont think she is learning anything else from daycare then it is best to not keep her there (plus it saves you money!!!)

a child is meant to go to daycare or any place of education to learn, if she isnt learning in one place best not to keep her there and have her get frustrated because she is not being challenged enough!
