My VCR plays back O.K. on my new T.V. using the scart connections but it will not record signals from the satellite decoder although it used to the last time I used it 2 years ago - is this because now are all signals digital or am i missing something ?

  1. there are two scart connectors on your sky box one for tv and one for vcr have you got them both pluged in

  2. Output signal from the satellite decoder will always be of the same type, unless you change connections (for HDTV) or change the decoder.

Maybe you've got the VCR set to a different input source (recorded from a camera via coaxial or Video-S connectors, perhaps)

  3. If the input to your VCR is via SCART then it should record whatever signal is being passed to it.

  4. scart from sky av 2 in video av2. Then set video to record av2 making sure sky is on channel you want to record. Remember you cant turn over sky(only one tuner)
