Should my 4 year old be allowed to go see R rated movies?

hey guys im sorry my babysitter was goofing off on my account, i would NEVER let my child see a movie higher than PG.

    most children at a young age start to repeat everything they hear

    do you want your child going to school acting out scenes that are inappropriate or saying things they shouldn't be

  15. This really isn't advisable. Children's ability to understand mature themes evolves with age. The "R" rated movies have story lines than may leave your child with more information than he or she can decipher. Pick up a child development book (or books) at the library to learn more about how to plan when to introduce which themes to your child. They are very helpful in understanding what your child does and does not do or understand at general stages of development, which often match his or her age.

  22. That would be a no! Thats why there is an age limit. Do you think your 4 year old would be allowed if he/she would walk up and ask to buy a ticket for that movie? No! So why should it be right for your 4 year old to go with you to the movie. Which movie are you talking about? Normally all rated R movies have cuss words, nudity, or violence. Why would you want your 4 year old seeing and listening to this? Not good for their little eyes and ears! They are very smart, smarter than you think and they will end up repeating everything they see and hear. Good luck!
