He is 21 and I am almost 20.. we've been together about 3 years. He's finishing college this year, I still have 2 years left. When he's finished with college he will be working full time and we plan on getting a house nearby, he says he will help me finish college so I can work, too, by paying my tuition at a local school. We've talked about getting married and we know we are right for each other, and we don't plan on having any children for several more years to come. His family loves me and mine loves him, and we certainly love each other. Do you guys think it's a good idea?

  1. You really might be too young.  I know people who married at your age and personal statistics are that 1 in 4 of those marriages worked.    Enjoy eachother and spend the next few years growing up together.  What's the worst that can happen if you wait?

  2. I say...what's the rush???

I think it's only right if you finish school first.

He can help you with school and you can still get a house together even if you aren't married.

  3. nothing seems to be a problem, just save money first before having any children

  4. Honey, don't hurry with the marriage idea. There is no real good Reason to jump at it so young. Life will become more complicated, which may also ensue dynamics that don't need to arise this young. Enjoy your youth and your single hood. It may be the only one you get. Take your time. You Are too young. At least wait til you are done with your college. My ex- and I got married while in school. After I graduated, I moved out. The stress of marriage, new job, full time school for both of us... was too much. Have fun first. Marriage later.

  5. If you know that you are in love with each other and want to spend the rest of your life together then get married and dont worry about what other people say or think about your age its your life and none of their business.
