Should my husband take a job out of state or should we stay?

There's a great job out of state where we have lived before and we want to move back there, the money is alot higher than most jobs there and the cost of living is cheap so i could work part-time and go back to college to get a degree. The only thing is that there may possibly be a job opening in the company that he works for now, its a salary position downtown. We don't hate it where we are or anything but we miss the town where we used to live. Would it be stupid to pass up a salary position because we miss our old town?
