Question:

Should my mom buy this kid a new skateboard?

The people next door let their kids leave there bikes, tricycles and skateboards all along the road. My mom ran over a kids skateboard by mistake because it was just sitting there. The dad saw and my mom got freaked out and asked if he hit a kid and he was like "No, it's okay"

Her tires are probably messed up now but do you think she has to pay for a new skateboard?

  1. No. I can guarantee you will not be sued over a measly skateboard.

  2. I would say no.  I am the type of person that would feel bad about it and want to buy a skateboard to replace the other one.  However, I wouldn't do it because maybe it will the teach the kids to take care of their stuff.

  3. It would keep peace with the neighbors for years to come.

I think it would be worth it.

  4. No! It was irresponsible to leave the skateboard sitting around. They should put new tires on moms car :)

  5. The skateboard was in the road? No, she doesn't owe him a skateboard. If you don't take care of your stuff, this is what happens.

  6. God No!!!! If Anything, The Parents Should Pay For New Tires And Any Other Problems She Got From Running Over The Skateboard. If They Are Out There In The Open, It's The Parents Fault, The Kids Should All Be Grounded And The Next Time The Things Are Out, The Parents Should Be Given h**l! If They Don't Pay For The Tires, They Should Be Sued!

  7. Absolutely not.  People who cannot pick up their property and it winds up all over the place have to accept the responsiblity of having it broken.  Otherwise the neighbor should be paying for new tires for your mother.  Do you see where this is going?  They need to start taking care of their own property and keeping it out of the way of being damaged. Their property, their fault.

  8. No, It wasent in "the peoples" yard and it was in your drive way! it must mean the Kids really dont care about there things so its not your moms problem

the parents of the kid should pay for the tires to be honest!

    (   very good question =)   )

  9. No. Their fault for leaving their things lying in  the driveway.

  10. Absolutely not. If the skateboard had damaged her tires the kid's parents would have had to pay to replace them. They need to keep them out of driveways.

  11. no, not if it was in your driveway or not put away like  it should have been.  Buying him a new skateboard is sending this child the wrong message. If he wants to have nice things, he needs to take care of them and put them away when finished.
