Should my nail polish match my toe polish??

Question

Are my toenails and my fingernails supposed to be the same color??

If not is there a rule to which one is darker.

Help, I think I might look silly in sandals

they don't need to match. Your fingers should be neutral to go with whatever you might wear and for work. your toes can look like whatever since they're not going to be shown all the time.

Gosh charlie, life has really dealt you some difficult issues?  I really don't have an answer.  For males, and cowboys in Texas, a common mistake, is wearing boots that are darker than your belt?  Actually, it's more pleasing the other way around?  Darker belt, and lighter boot?  .... or the same color?  

Applying that same logic to young girls nail polish, I'd say, you can wear different colors from hand nails to toe nails?  Main thing to remember is, the toe nail colors should be "lighter" than the finger nails?  Don't know why, but the darker top finger nail colors, have a more pleasant look to them, if the the bottom nails are lighter?

haha dont worry its just nailpolish!! i personally think that your toes should be a tad darker then your fingers.theres no rules you can pretty much do whatever you want.bright colors are really in.O.P.I has almost every color imaginable.i have yellow fingers and dark blue toes!!haha just do whatever u want.i sometimes do it to match an outfit too.good luck!!

Toe nails can pretty much be any color. (I would stay away from any neon color) This tends to be the darker color. But isn't a rule.

Finger nails are only supposed to be certain colors. Pale pinks, red, or the trend color. Last fall it was dark colors like dark purple. Never paint your finger nails a flashy color. It just looks bad and incredibly childish.

They don't have to match. Mine usually don't. Only bc my finger nails are always a pale pink and my toes are what ever color I am in the mood for.
