  1. You could get her one of those phone that you can only call numbers you program and 911.

  2. There are s*x offenders and bad people but quite honestly i find it personally annoying that my parents assume that any time i'm away from the house i could get rapped murdered mugged, ect. Since she's 9 it's totally normal to make sure she's safe and be concerned like that but i think you're sort of contridicting your concern by making her walk 3 1/2 miles every day i'd say that's more than a bit far for a 9 year old to walk alone. I'd reccomend the bus instead but I parents who have kids younger than 9 with phones for that very reason i think anymore it's a very normal thing. I've always thought that if something was going to happen a cell phone wouldn't be something to save someone but i guess if she sees something happen she could call the cops or call you for a ride if she can't walk for some reason

  3. go for it

  4. Yea, my friends daughter is eight and has a phone for reasons like that and so does her brother.

  5. well, i think that

    she should...

    but get her a firefly.

they are specially made for kids.

or, you could get her a disney

    mobile family phone.

it has a built in gps

and detects where your daughter go's.

i cant find a website for the

disney phone, but you can search it

and find some information on it...

    heres the firefly website...

    http://www.fireflymobile.com/

    i hope i helped!

  6. There is this phone that was my first phone that was called the Amigo. It is green looks cool also. It lets you call 4 numbers so it can be u, her dad, etc and then there is a middle button that lets you call police. Make sure she is responsible so she does not call the police when there is no danger.

    Hope this helps
