Should my partner be expected to work 19 hours a day on a salary package????

my partner is a manager at a supermarket and he has been expected to work a 19 hour shift on the weekend, he doesnt get a break as theres noone to cover him (this happens every weekend he works).

he has just started at this position and is getting blamed for things that arent right even though its not his fault.

I don't know which country you are in, but it should be against labor laws. Illegal. Check it out.
