I was designing my save the date and wedding invites but they didn't match.. I guess i had never really thought about it.. Is it a big deal for them to match or do they not have to?

  1. The date on them should.

  2. Typically, your wedding invitations give your guests a glimpse into the theme, color or style of your wedding.  Save the dates don't serve the same purpose so no they don't have to match your invitations at all.

If you are concerned about your theme shining through, you may want to start to think about the design of your wedding programs and other wedding day stationery and have them match your invitations.  I wouldn't worry about the save the date though.

    Take care!

  3. Well, mine don't.  I haven't even decided on the exact theme colours yet for our wedding, but wanted to get the "Save the Date" cards out early.  We went for fridge magnets & they are in silver.

  4. no they don't have to. none of the guests will notice. and normally when brides and grooms send out their save the dates, they don't even have wedding invitations picked out yet.
