Should my sub in a bandpass box face forward or back?

i have a kenwood 12" sub in a qlogic bandpass box. i drive a ford escort sedan....and the rear seats fold down. i know that if you have a sealed or ported box, you should face the box to te rear of the car to extend the length of the low sound waves, but in a bandpass box all the sound is coming out of the top.....so should it face the cabin? or does it even matter.

face them towards the back, the ports are at the top, but some sound from the subs still travels through the plexi-glass

it really doesn"t matter which way the box is facing as long as you have the right amount of air flow just leave about 4" in of room for the ports
