Should my wedding band be white or yellow gold?

my engagement ring is a white gold band with a tanzanite stone surrounded by 6 small diamonds. Should I go with a white gold wedding band to match it? Like, will yellow gold clash or will it work? Cause we would like matching wedding bands but I Justin (My fiance) is not a fan of white gold on a man.

  1. You should get a band of the same metal color as your engagement ring. However, if you choose to go with a different gold, it is always your choice. :)

  2. baby blue is way better!!

  3. I think you and your fiance should get a yellow-gold wedding band, because in a few years or maybe sooner the white diamond and yellow Gold will look SO pretty(:

-Good luck to you and your fiance.

  4. You could go with a yellow gold band and it would look ok, but maybe you should try to find two-toned rings for you and your fiancé. That way, he'll get his yellow gold and your rings will match too. Compromise, hon. LOL!

  5. You should get what is most pleasing to you because you are making a lifetime commitment, however, the trend is toward silver it seems.

  6. Does it matter what color it is love has no colors

  7. If you have dark hair, like your avatar, you should wear white gold.

The wedding band should exactly match, else it will wear out.

Yellow gold is old-fashioned & goes with blonde haired complexion.

  8. You don't have to match each other. I personally would go with white gold to match the engagement ring- and I assume you normally wear this colour jewelery.

Your fiance could get the same style ring but in yellow gold.

  9. either colour, your wedding band would look great beside your engagement ring.

    BUT something to consider:

if you have tanned skin, go with the gold,

if you have fair skin, go with the white gold.

and congrats on your engagement! i hope you have a great wedding :)

  10. Yellow gold alone will not match, but you can find yellow gold with white gold on it. In any case, you might have to get an enhancer/guard so the band fits around the center stone.

Once I got looking, most rings with yellow and white gold together are quite ornate, and won't go with your e-ring at all.

Maybe it's best that you get a simple white gold band, and you just get your HTB a nice yellow gold band. (my husband thinks the same as yours!).

  11. Your band should be white gold so that the two rings can exist together on one finger in peace. Since he'd rather have the yellow gold, that's what he should go with that. The fact that its not the same color as yours probably won't even be noticed by many people and won't matter if it is.

  12. My wedding ring does not match with my husband's in anyway - in colour or design!  My engagement ring is a diamond set in white gold and my wedding ring is in white gold whereas my husband went for yellow gold because he likes it better.  I think it's more important your wedding and engagement rings match in colour rather than the both of you match.

  13. Will you always wear your engagement ring?

I personally think that if you are, then the white gold will match more.

But if your husband is not a fan of it then I would just wear my engagement ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my right.
