We're in our late 20's early 30's we were thinking NCL from NY to Bahamas. Sounds cool enough, but I guess I'm worried I'll get bored or something. Please tell me about all the cool stuff there is and what a great time we'd have!!!!

  1. I definatly recommend Carnival over Royal Carribian, if you don't want to be bored.  Royal caters to mostly older couples. Carnival targets the younger crowed. We slept a lot on the royal cruisline since there was not much to do.

  2. We love cruising! I'm 38 and went on my first one about 6 years ago and am about to do my 7th.  We just don't know where the time goes when you're on board, you can be as busy or as lazy as you choose to be.  There are normally various activities taking place during the days at sea, the casino will be open, there are kids clubs so you can have time to yourself if you have children, you can lie by the pool, go to art auctions, quizzes, watch the ice sculpture, sit at the bar and drink cocktails, read books, surf the internet, go to lectures - seriously, book it!  And if you can, have some time in New York first, I love NY even more than cruising!

  3. We took Carnival to the Caribbean (the funship).  And let me tell you - I have been on 3 different cruises and I was NEVER bored.  There are tons of entertainment onboard and on those days you are at shore, lots of choices for excursions or simply walking around the island.  Have fun!  i am jealous!

  4. My husband and I went last year. I'm 32 and he's 33. We also took our kids, ages 12 and 8. We had a blast. I mean it was wonderful. We took a glass bottom boat tour around the island and the kids loved it. We did too even though it was more for them. We went to the beach twice. The water was so blue...it was a real life postcard. And the sand...white sand that you sink in down to your ankles. And on the boat there was so much to do. Activities, outings, games, just great fun. At night we would go up to the upper desk and just listen to the water. During the day we'd go up and just say wow, I can't believe we're in the Bahamas. The atmosphere was romantic when my husband and I found alone time, and when we were with the kids it was so fun.

So yes, please go. You will not get bored.

  5. h**l yes you should go on a cruise!!!!!

I would recommend Royal Caribbean cruise line and maybe try a 7-night caribbean cruise.

We just came back from a western caribbean aboard the Liberty of the Seas and we always had stuff to do!!!

We spent two days at sea and four days in ports, including Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

There is a ton of stuff to do and see on the ship, including rock climbing, surfing, dancing, sports, ice skating.....

The food is incredible and the service is outstanding!!!!

We had a great time for our first cruise and we would do it again tomorrow if we could!!!

We are in our 20s and 30s too, and there were a ton of people in our age range.

We met a lot of fun, great people!!!

  6. I almost cancelled my first cruies, because I was really afraid I'd get bored.  A lot of money to spend for what???  I'm soooo glad that I didn't.  Discovered I love to cruise.  Its incredibly relaxing, and you don't have to worry about anything once you get on the boat.  They feed you, change your sheets, clean your room and all you do is relax.  I was in my early thirties when I went.  I took a dozen books (afraid of getting bored - and didn't complete any of them.  It's hard to explain, as I asked dozens of people about it before I went, but the best way to say it "it's just nice".  It's a nice break from life.   Plus the 24 hour complimentary room service is a bonus.  And at port, you can discover new areas or join in a fun activity.  There are also tons of things to do on the ship, which I did little off, but what I did do was very nice.  Trust me, you won't be bored.  :)

  7. Sure, live it up. Must be nice to have your problems.

  8. I'm 29, and have cruised for the past 5 years. I LOVE IT! There is a ton of things to do, and nothing beats seeing the sun set over the ocean, VERY romantic.... You guys will have a blast!
