  1. yes. all pocono is is 3 long straightaways. very boring races

  2. NOOOOOOOO!  That would be a huge mistake.  I am from Pocono.  Not only that is that you can't keep taking away the track with history.  They took Rockingham away and cut Darlington down to one race.  I will rebel if they take the Pocono races away.  The roots of racing need to kept intact even though things are changing.

  3. I think they should drop one race and put one at Kentucky. Not sure how that would happen but if it could work out that would be nice. They have to leave at least 1 super speedway for us northeasterners.

  4. Drop one and change the other to 300 miles.

  5. I can't get into details on this one because I may be a little biased.  I grew up near it and after being able to conveniently attend Homestead and Daytona every race it's still my favorite layout. Nothing like watching them go down the longest and fastest straights in the country.  Sometimes its a bit boring and sometimes its outrageous but neither race will ever be dropped.  If anything the length will be cut down.  It sells out every race of every year and not many tracks can do that these days.  I would hurl at the thought of another cookie cutter track like Kentucky. Its bad enough I have to watch Lowes 3 times a year.  Pocono is one of the last true tests of mechanical endurance and driver skill.  Get over Rockingham.  It was dropped because no one went. If your opinion is valid then we should drop Atlanta. Texas, Bristol and Talladega all races being snoozefests lately.   So my answer is no.

    Did I say too much?

  6. h**l yeah also get rid of the road courses they are really lame to watch got to have the short tracks beating and banging know that's racing

  7. No I love Pocono!

  8. One Pocono race should be taken away. It is a terrible track to watch a race at. But we need to keep racing in the Northeast. Losing both plus talk about losing one from New Hampshire will tick off alot of fans here.

  9. I am a long time NASCAR fan, I never watch the Pocono race-worst track on the NASCAR circuit. It used to be New Hampshire.  Yes, dump Pocono.

  10. Let them shift it will change the whole race.

  11. I think Pocono will lose a race within the next few years. Like Darlington, the move could be good for it. When Darliington had 2 races, they couldn;t give tickets away but since they dropped it to 1, demand has skyrocketed and the track has improved as well as the excitement about the race.

I don;t like Pocono either, but dropping both anytime soon would be overkill.

Kentucky definitly needs a date. Having 2 California dates on top of Vegas is overkill in that area, so one of those races should be cut as well. Especially since they don;t even come close to selling out.

  12. I like Pocono... I watched Jarrett win a race or two there with Yates and loved watching it.

Having said that, I completely understand where you are coming from.

  13. I would only drop one Pocono race, and pick up Kentucky. Besides that, one California date should be dropped to pick up Rockingham. Big mistake that NASCAR dropped Rockingham in the first place.

  14. I agree with you. Very much. I can't stand to watch those races. Just so boring. I watch the begining and the end and that's about it.

Drop one or 2 and come to Iowa Speedway in Newton. like 2 hrs away from me.
