Should new wolves be imported to control moose population, or let the moose populate/?

Suppose the two major animals living on an isle are wolves (predators) and moose (prey)and suppose the wolves die because of disease or genetic defects from imbreeding should we (a) intervene and import new wolves to help control the moose population or (b) let the moose population grow until it exceeds its carrying capacity and suffers another population crash? Explain reasoning?

  1. No, DON'T import any wolves. Get more moose hunters! Wolves will hunt easier prey than moose. They will only eat moose after they have eaten everything else smaller, including farm animals, dogs, and cats


  2. Fly in some hunters to thin out the bulls and call it a day.

    or you could do the wolf thing......

  3. I think you should just let nature be.  The population will be regulated regardless as both are biotic factors (competition for resources and predation).

    It's incredible how nature will just adjust for things on its own, eh? :3
