No.  The constitution specifies what is required.  Neither Bible nor ring are included.  And neither can guarantee integrity of the elect.

First Presidents are not appointed they are elected.  Second I really don't care about their s*x lives and neither should you.  There is also no requirement for a President to be a Christian, and I would just assume they should swear on the constitution.  That is the document they are entrusted to uphold not the Bible

yes this country was founded on that. all have done it all should its a respect thing. they know when they run they have to. you ahve to swear on the Bible when u are a witness in court.

They do swear on a Bible during the swearing in ceremony, and most of them are already married, so it's a little late for a purity ring.

Besides since when does swearing on a Bible keep people from lying anyway?
