there is something rotten in the camp ,Quinlan ,Carney a gb and ireland r league Capt not even used once , where did stringer disappear to and why ? Eddie has to answer these Qs ,girvan dempsey makes Jim staples look like Blanco and Murphy was underused ,Paul o Connell is half the player he was and the  old guys in the O2 ad looked faster than our pack !!!! Hickey looked like Lineker did when he was subbed in his last match by g Taylor,He knows and will be our best shot to find out the full story because he will no longer be contracted to IRFU.

have a good look at your whole team two people  cnt take the blame for your lack luster performance at this world cup.The World Cup is overrated,one tournament doesnt make you the best in the world for 4yrs,when England won the AllBlacks show their dominance for the nxt 4yrs,when Aussie and SouthAfrica won the same thing happen New Zealand show their dominance and are the no1 ranked team for the past 30yrs,youll find a lot of kiwis think the same the Cup is overrated

i think blaming o sullivan is the easy option.yes!there were some bad decisions made,probably not using the full squad was one but our men did not perform and it was littered with handling errors ,schoolboy stuff,i think the expectations got to the team.i think if the world cup would have been last year we would have made the final!but its back to the drawing board im afraid!

in response to sam, true two people can't take the whole of the blame they can take the majority of it. Sullivan's decision to play a full strength team against Namibia was woeful and to repeat the error against Georgia after their dismal performance IS a sackable offence, however, I don't think he should be sacked and should be given at least to the end of the next 6 nation campaign to see if this is a permanent crack or just a c***k in the armour.

o'gara had an atrocious cup and this in turn affects the players outside him. It puts them under pressure on the counter when his kicks fail to find touch and when he throws poor passes. The problem here is there is a sever lack of talent to put pressure on O'Gara. Nobody around at the moment has his kicking abilities (excluding cup) and here is were you can forgive O'Sullivan.

The handling errors of Ireland were inexplicable but one thing is sure they wont have the chance of progression they had this year for a long time to come.......

how fickle people are. months ago EOS was favourite to take control oflions last year, after winning triple crown twice in two year, and very nearly winning the whole championship thi year. one bad tournament dusnt lead to a sacking especialy in the toughest ever world cup group, come six nations ireland will be back to best
