Should one vote for Sarah Palin due to her high family values and against unmarried having babies?

ST. PAUL, Minn. - John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant, an announcement campaign aides said was aimed at rebutting Internet rumors that Palin's youngest son, born in April, was actually her daughter's.

A statement released by the campaign said that Bristol Palin will keep her baby and marry the child's father. Bristol Palin's baby is due in late December.

She is absolutely pathetic.

To know that her daughter is pregnant at 17 and be okay with sticking her in the spotlight just for the sake of her political career is disgusting.

If MY daughter was 17 and pregnant, I'd be telling McCain, "Sorry, you can put America First but right now my family comes first."

Why would you move forward with the Vice Presidential nomination? Didn't she know the scrutiny this would bring? The unwanted attention that her daughter will now receive as a result?

What a sad case of parenting she is.  She has a downs 4 month old she's going to abandon while she roams the country trying to get elected.  And obviously her pregnant 17 year old wasn't getting much motherly attention either.  There's nobody home!

McCain shot himself in the foot big time.  The rest of the republican big shots must be aghast..

If you think about it, Palin came up with the absolute best, water-tight explanation imaginable, i.e

"the chick is knocked up so it HAD to be mine."

You can almost see her sticking out her tongue at her critics after she proffered that charming elucidation.

What have we come to? Proving rumors wrong by gleefully throwing your 17 year old daughter under the bus?

I feel sorry for Bristol as no 17 year old should be in the spotlight like this especially a person who comes from a conservative background.  It is like having to wear the Scarlet Letter.  This is really too bad.  Palin should have declined the VP spot  if she had been a sensitive parent.  Perhaps she should be spending more time at home with her family to know what exactly is happening there.  What a mess.

Obama weighed eight pounds, two ounces when he was born on August 4, 1961 (p. 22 of Dreams from My Father), so we can assume he went close to full term, or nine months.

His parents’ marriage took place six months before his birth on February 2nd, 1961. Nine months before Obama’s birth would be early November 1960, about three to four weeks before Ann Dunham’s 18th birthday on November 29, 1960.

It appears that Barack Sr., a married man of about 24, almost certainly impregnated a 17-year-old Dunham.

are you kidding me man, this chick is governor of a state that has less than half the population of the COUNTY I live in, this was the most blatant and idiotic move to get women voters.  a woman who doesn't believe that women have the right to govern their own bodies... i don't even know what to say. and now her moron kid got knocked up, thats great parenting. with old john mcpalpitation on deaths doorstep i don't want some shabby parent as president.
