Should our neighbor to the North be called Canada or Canadia?

Canadia just has such a nice ring to it. Also, to analogize,

Americans=America, as Canadians = ?.

I see so many Americans on Yahoo answers bemoaning the fact that they are the most hated nation in the world. Then I go to 4 idiot questions  in a row about Canada from Americans. And I stop wondering why.

America is a Spanish word so the rules are diferent than Indian words.

Huh? Adding the 'i' is just something that happens with some words. Bermuda has Bermudians, The Bahamas has Bahamians, perhaps it should be 'Americians'. As the first poster pointed out, the name Canada means something, it wasn't just made up for the sound of it.
