Should panties match garter belt, or the stockings?

Ok. Pink stockings, worn with a white garter belt (hard to find quality pink garter belts). Should the color of the panties match the garter belt or the stockings?

I'm wearing white bra and hi-cut panties by VF with a red garterbelt and tan stockings and tan waist cincher and it looks fabulous!!
