  1. NO

  2. Yes!  Am I going to give up luxuries to save the environment?  No.  Should I?  Of course.

  3. People wouldn't have luxuries if there wasn't an environment.

So yes, my answer is yes.

  4. Why do you think giving up luxuries would help the environment? Do you mean giving up cars, etc. to have cleaner air? What helps the environment more is to stop littering, and do more recycling. To give up luxuries is almost the same as giving up our basic needs. If we did that we would go back to the horse and buggy days and go backward instead of advancing.

  5. ok many have said a lot would they give up their luxuries so why do you ride petrol consuming car it pollutes environment

go n use cycle to travel 5 or 3 km---why u use plastics its non biodegradabe but u use cuz its necessity man---u use perfume\deo dont u---u watch tv n 1 day it will b discarded and its components would harm environment---------fridge have CFC(chloro fluoro carbon )killing ozone O3 --so can any give up all these things-no no no no---so we can compromise but we cant cut it -------stupid those who say give up luxuries----

  6. I agree with the first answer.

And yes, I think we should. The Earth has given us SO MUCH. It's time we give back also.

  7. Of course.  But what are luxuries.  What is a luxury to a citizen of Bangladesh, say clean water, is a necessity to an American.  Who gets to define luxury. And where do we find jobs for all those people who were making Cadillac's, Rolex's and perfumes.

  8. You d**n right. A luxury is just that...a luxury. It's not a necessity. The environment? Well, that's a necessity. And you know, there are a lot of ways that people can still keep their luxuries, but also make sure it's eco-friendly. You can still have a nice car without polluting the air with fuels. You can still build a beautiful home, but use materials that are safe for the environment...use wood that comes from plants and not trees, and that aren't a product of deforestation (yes, wood like that exists...i did a report on it...i forget what it's called though). The environment trumphs people's needs to lead lavish lives. I just hope more individuals start to realize that sooner than later.

  9. The obvious answer would be yes if you believe that we need to.  I only say that because there are a lot of people who don't agree that we actually need to be doing so.

Even if you don't believe in the whole 'global warming' thing I personally think we should do everything we can to keep our environment clean and conserve energy.

As for the whole 'global warming' debate, I'm honestly not so convinced.  Have you noticed that the media (*and politicians) are no longer calling it 'global warming', it is now called 'climate change'.  Why is that?

Could it be because say April for instance was the coldest April on record for 10 years.  If the earth is warming then why the coldest April in 10 years?

Ask Al Gore for instance and he'll say, "That is because of Global Warming!"

    Warmer weather=Global Warming.

    Cooler weather=Global Warming?

    I'm confused.

There are A LOT of other such statistics BUT the one thing that got me was there was a special I saw about a weather man who was very much against global warming to the point that he went out and did a special report on it.  In the report he went to whatever agency it is that official records temperatures throughout the US and then went to locations where their sensors were.  He found MANY sensors in places where sensors really shouldn't be because the environment where they were can be easily effected by things other than the weather.  (*Next to Air Conditioner Vents, next to airport run ways, etc)  Those had HUGE temperature changes from when they were first put out up until today.  Others (*placed in places like mountain fields and such) remained pretty much the same or hardly any change at all (*both up and down).

He started to simply ask questions and has since had his career destroyed because of his observation that went against what the media is reporting.

Lastly I'll just say this:  Follow the money.  Who does 'Global Warming' help when it comes to money?  Scientist who have a vested intrest?  Politicians like Al Gore?

Oh, and also for the record, it seems WAY to often that those who shout the loudest about the subject don't practice what they preach.  Private Jets (*that use WAY WAY WAY more fuel than an SUV), mansions, and such.  The funniest story I've read is about Al Gore who PUBLICALLY FOUGHT against wind farms going up in the area of his home because of the noise they make.  Practice what you preach or don't preach!

  10. No not at all.Why should we give up our luxuries? We should have luxuries to the fullest , but yeah should think before taking any step that may prove fatal to our enviornment.

  11. The Earth gave us life, just like our parents.  It's only natural for our parents to die off to make room for the next generation.
