Question:

Should people who throw beer at races be ticketed and fined?

the local law enforcement agencies could create some revenue for their departments and do NASCAR a favor. It's not fair for the drivers to have to put up with what would otherwise be illegal.

  1. Yes !!

And be made to spend the following week, picking up all the trash, in and around the track !!!

  2. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE TRACK, ARRESTED, AND HAVE THEIR DAY IN COURT.  SOME TRACKS BAN PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

and if you are going to throw a beer bottle, throw a bud or a bud light.  not a measly michelob ultra lite.  whatever fruitcake threw that has alot to be embarrased of.  Nascar fans dont like that.

I LIKE KYLE BUSCH and i love to see people hate him.  Nascar is a redneck sport.  but throw TOILET PAPER, not beer.

  3. F* the local law enforcement aspect ... WHO CARES?

The fans SHOULD be fined heavily and BANNED from ALL NASCAR events.  And it's not just the beer throwers, but ANYONE who throws ANYTHING towards the racetrack.

    Not FAIR?  It's not SAFE!

    GOOOOOOOOOOO J Gordon!

  4. They should be detained by the local law enforcement and go before a judge with charges from  littering to public intoxication to endangering persons(if you get hit by a half full can it does not feel good) to assault.

Punishment from fines,to public service ( picking up the trash at the track) to actual jail time ,or even perminate suspention from the track.

  5. They should be. After all someone could get hurt. An empty can wouldn't hurt too bad, but a full can could cause a concussion if it hit a person the right way and with enough force.

  6. Simple.... Just sale draft beer in plastic party cups. They'll get wet trying to throw a cup of beer.

  7. if they can prove who threw it yes 100%

but if its we pick you outta the groupas maybe the one

    then no

  8. Yes

  9. yes.

  10. I think they should be ejected.  It isn't fair for the other fans to have to put up with such boorish behavior, especially with the price they pay to get in.  To be ticketed and or fined there would have to be city/county ordinances in place and then court and lawyers and most places don't have the resources to deal with that, or the countersuits that would soon develop.

  11. They definetely should. They should be put in jail in the process for assault. No regard for other people's lives. How would they like it if someone threw beer cans/bottles at them?

  12. Yes they should and never let back in any Nascar race track again.....

  13. yeah, they have to no for sure who threw it. they've gotta teach the people a lesson so no one gets hurt.

  14. only if they leave beer in the can

  15. They have been able to successfully enforce such laws in other sporting venues, football, basketball, etc.. But they usually just throw the perpetrator out of the arena, (hit em' in the pursestrings) I'm not sure how ticketing or fining would work, as I've noticed that alot of people who go to the races are from out of the state where the race is held, maybe take them to a county jail or something. But I do agree with you 100% that it's not right, no matter who the driver is, or what they've done, no one deserves that kind of treatment, and something needs to be done, and done NOW, before an injury occurs.

  16. here at fontana, it is by no means easy for someone to throw something on the track.  you are limited to a very small cooler, and it can only have plastic bottles of non-alcoholic beverages.  if you want to drink, you'll pay $7 for a plastic bottle of miller lite or bud.

as for "security," the san bernardino sheriff's deputies fight over who and how many of them will get to work the race, and trust me, those guys are serious.  they will ticket and/or arrest anyone they feel needs to learn a lesson.  and with the west valley detention center essentially right across the street, they can run busloads of idiots back and forth throughout the day, and they do.

  17. if i see you throw one i'll point you out

  18. yes its really wrong for fans to do this , drivers risk there lives only for fans entairtainments and then u throw beer cans thats wrong , owners of tracks will ban coolers and people will be drinking beer from a plastic cup

  19. And on top of that I think the person should be removed from the race and prohibited from going to another Nascar race...although that would be impossible to do.  Learn a little respect!

  20. Absolutely, they should be fined. No questions asked, end of discussion.

However, I don't think it's the drivers who have to put up with it. It's the fans who, just by sitting in front of an angry fan, run the risk of injury. NASCAR needs to patrol this situation and try to stop it before someone gets seriously hurt.
