  1. YES!

All Political prisoners must be freed!!!

  2. Muniz was sentenced to life in prison without parole, end of story. Like m1a1mike said Jamal was sentenced to death, again end of story.

  3. We do not have political prisoners in the US.

  4. Definitely, yes!

This is the land of the Free,

    We shouldn't have political prisoners!

    Free Mumia!

    Free Ramsey!

  5. I always get ticked off when people say "free mumia."

Retry him if you want... the judge in the case was a prick but Mumia's own behavior in the face of the justice system was ridiculous, and not becoming of someone who actually valued their own life.

I'm anti-death penalty, but of the opinion that the guy is as guilty as sin.

Just because someone had a poorly-executed trial does NOT mean that they are innocent, and it does NOT mean that they should go free and unpunished!

  6. Uh. NO!!!!!

  7. Although it's not up to me to say that these men, and many others like them, should be released...I do have to say that anyone doing research on these two cases should agree that they need to be re-examined and re-evaluated.

Even if we were to lay aside the unfair aspects of race bias, certainly the facts that are laid out by the defense in each case are meritous of our attention.

Don't get me wrong; I'm no champion of murder or vice -  but for the sake of all that's just - look at the facts of these cases, both good and bad, both pro and con, and ask yourself: "If this were my child, if this was my loved one being treated like this...would I demand justice? Would I not stand up for all details to be brought to light?"

It's time we as a society start swinging back to middle-of-the-road common sense, and act rather than react (or overreact) to an emotional onslaught.

Thanks for this insightful question. And may God bless all people who are trying to fnd true answers to this quagmire in the justice system - whether victim or accused.

  8. Yes, but only if they are accepted as citizens of France and do not return to the USA.  Mumia is already an honorary citizen of Paris so he's pretty much a done deal.

  9. No.

"Mumia Abu-Jamal (pronounced /muːmiɑː əbuː dʒəˈmɑːl/; born Wesley Cook on April 24, 1954) was convicted and sentenced to death for the 1981 murder of police officer Daniel Faulkner,"

The fact that he is still alive is a miscarriage of justice.
