  1. Not at all, go to Colorado, Utah, or Nevada and then tell me how over populated we are.

EDIT-"Earth is like "On Golden Pond", It can only support so much."...these are not grazing lands or farm lands it's empty, and all the problems caused by a growing population can be solved by the population it's self.

But I suppose you could always refrain from having kids if you really think that population reduction is the only option

  2. Population control will probably never happen because governments love tax payers.

Only dire circumstances like China's food shortages have brought on population control.  But people breed no matter what the consequences.

  3. Foreign aid should be tied to population control for some countries like Ethiopia and Somalia where they cannot grow enough food.  It is being cold, but practical.

  4. Let's see what nature does. Sometimes it takes care of a problem by disease and catastrophic events.

  5. Yes.  Definitely.  But how?  I have no answers.

  6. Trust me when I say ... if you cut all welfare from the ones who abuse it you'll see a voluntary population control.

  7. There have been world population control programs for over 5O years and the fertility rate in most countries including the US is at or below replacement level. Without them we would have out grown the food supply as we almost did before the green  revolution  in the 1950's. Fertility rates drop when women have opportunities out side the home  and infant mortality rates are low  so all of the developed world  fertility is below replacement level of 2.1 births per woman.

  8. Yes, lets start with sterilizing all liberals.

  9. A simple question that leads to a whole mess of trouble,, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't ask it.

Sure,, There are probably too many people. But since we can't go with the Soylent Green option.

    What can we do?

Limiting Births means Controlling Breeding which leads us to that delightful issue of Eugenics.. that no one wants to be linked to publicly.

Then there's our social welfare system. It works like a pyramid scheme. We have to have an ever increasing number of new people coming in to pay for the people at the top.  We have to have more young people to support the tax burden of their retired elders..

I guess the state could decide how long people are allowed to live.

Maybe we'll get lucky and a Zombie outbreak will take care of the problem for us.

  10. What is there to control now in time?

Look in the real world on what went wrong out there in time.

Decode this lyrics " Dying inside"

Look at the misery of "Sleeping Child"?

Living in misery like cave-men who were still primitive with club on their shoulder still living in caves from the twilight zone  in different time zone dying inside in their youth in own backyards without being aware of it with self lack of knowledge being expose in time.

After being hit hard on the head with the Book of the Dead with self lack of knowledge created in own backyards without being aware of it being expose in time after the mystery of us-911.

In kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God but idol worshiping the dead Mummy of failures and horrors of the past from the graveyards of different ghostly ancestor's culture and custom as cheap-skate glory and success of National Identity in own backyards.

    Luke 9.25,55-6,60

    Luke 8.5-8,10-17

    Luke 11.33-36,46-52

    Leviticus 4. 13,22

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  11. Yes, For God's sake. When is anyone going to realize this before its' too late, i.e.,before it becomes necessary to initiate a global catastrophe? Everybody talks about expanding economies as though we are all Lemmings headed toward the edge when, obviously the real answer is to discourage having more children. Then religion gets in the way- the single most promising institution to extend human suffering! Its' things like this, this being the most "hopeful" that discourages sense of optimism in a world where only wealth will grant one peace from the tyranny of the many. The formula is simple- the more people that you have to compete with the less likely your own chances for survival will be , particularly in a catastrophic event not to mention the mere quality of life. How's this for a concept- the more crowded we get the more assistance you need to get through the day: the more baby sitters, the more personal shoppers....you reach a point of diminishing returns and I think we've passed it already.

  12. Sure, if we want to rename the United States of America to the United States of China. Next thing we know we will be practicing euthanasia. No thanks.

  13. Yes.

Overpopulation is the root of most problems..how to go about it is the sticking point.

  14. You mean Codex Alimentarius? Nah, I think all human life is valuable; who would be to say who gets to live or die?

  15. I don't think we're there yet.  As it is the birthrate is pretty low compared to where it was in the 40's and 50's and continues to fall.  We also do not have any shortages... looking at the grocery stores and restaurants and seeing how much food they toss out at the end of the day, the real issues are about management and distribution.  I'd rather see management of our resources and pollution before I ever see a 1-baby-law.

  16. Mmm.......Soylent Green. Tasty!
