A majority of the u.s. voters put Bush back in the white house in '04 despite how he and his sorry a** administration wrecked sh*t the previous 4 years and then they (the voters) stuck us w/ pop-eyed Pelosi and her crappy congress! Plus, during in-depth discussions w/ ppl of all different walks of life, nationalities, beliefs, financial classes, and political parties and both genders, I realize how badly misinformed many of them are! A few thought Obama was a gov., one thought he had publicly admitted being agnostic, one thought he was opposed to abortion, one guy thought Mccain was for g*y rights and was divorced, and a newly registered voter, a 19 year old girl thought that Africa was a country and Obama was born there! It scares me to think that this close to one of the most crucial elections in our countries history there are ppl who will vote in it who know so little about both candidates! Ur thoughts about it?

  1. That would be nice but there would not be enough qualified voters to hold an election.....

  2. People should not pass any tests to qualify to vote.  This is both unconstitutional and a form of bigotry.  The idiots should be appealed to through whatever means available.  Politicians should dumb down some of their rhetoric so that the idiots could understand their platforms better.

  3. If Americans had to pass an intelligence test to qualify to vote...

That Would Be The End Of The DEMOCRAT PARTY!

  4. No...that's what the electoral college used to be around for.  They used to make up for the fact that ppl could read and didn't have access to the news.  It was a fail-safe plan so that dumb ppl wouldn't elect a president that was unfit to run the country.

We all see how well that worked out....so actually...maybe you're right.

  5. You're right.. lets take it one step further.. since we are a reflection of our environment then obviously these mental midget's families are to blame.

Maybe people should be tested and pass a general intelligence test to have children..

  6. thats what they did back in the day...like 1780

  7. ignoring COMPLETELY your paragraph of nonsense

i say voters should be able to pass a literacy test of some kind

  8. Absolutely not.  That was how whites deprived blacks of their votes in the past.

They also  charged a poll tax which slaves could not afford to pay.

  9. What is scary is that my younger brother wants to vote for Obama because McCain is "too old."

My mother sits there debating between Obama and McCain now, because she liked Palin's speech last night. Obama and Palin completely differ on issues, so i do not understand.

No one bothers to look at the issues and actually have some shread of an argument to back up what they believe.

  10. No, everyone should be entitled to have a say no matter how uninformed it is.

  11. This is a democracy. We're supposed to be educated (and continue to educate ourselves) as to how government works and how the people we elect work within that framework.

I agree that we're not all that educated. I try to stay informed and I cannot name everyone on the Supreme Court right now without looking it up. So we probably need to do a little better.

So it's not really intelligence (or lack of) that is the problem but rather  education. And our society is too interested in getting our kids to be little consumers rather than teaching them how to be a citizen. (Man, if I hear myself referred to one more time as a "consumer" on the radio, I'm gonna lose it.)

  12. They used to have that enacted back in the day (late 1800s), deemed it unconstitutional. Sorry bud.

  13. No!  They did that to people in the past...It was wrong then and still is.  Maybe they might decide you aren't smart enough to vote...So your an elected official so you get all your political enemies declared not smart enough to vote....and on that would go!

  14. AAaaahhhh...but then, there would be no Obamabots, and Hillary would still be the Democrat candidate.

  15. Yes they should!  And they should have to take a test in order to have a child!!!

  16. So Kerry was the best the Dems could come up with?  lol

  17. The Republicans will NEVER allow a law like that, it would be the end of their party.

  18. I agree with all of that. Everyone should have to take a class or something so that they know what they're doing.

  19. You are angry and arrogant. I hope you can release all that anger, or the next eight years are going to be very difficult for you.

  20. I think that it wouldn't be too unreasonable to require people to pass a non-partisan civics test about our constitution and government.

btw, McCain is divorced from his first wife, Carol.

  21. Shouldn't we just put an intelligence test to qualify to run for office in place?  Wouldn't that be easier and solve the problem just as well?

  22. Yes, definitely

  23. It would impossible to do, but sometimes I think we need to do exactly that.  For the last two days, everytime I see someone try to seriously claim that Sarah Palin's "experience" is anywhere near to Obama's, or Joe Biden's, or Hillary Clinton's, I wonder if there is something in the water making people stupid.

  24. YESSSSSSSSSSSS

  25. A spelling test would be equally helpful
