Should prostitution be legend?

what do you think about prostitution? Do you think that they bad or not?

I personally find the whole thing disgusting, however...I also believe that we should be free to do as we wish with our bodies, as long as we are not hurting anyone else.  Therefore, prostitution should be done in a safe setting, (kind of like those safe injection sites popping up all over Canada)  Where people are tested for STD's and condoms are used.  Can you imagine the disease that is spread with these women, (and men) prowling the streets?  I don't know, it's a tough call.

I would never want to be one but those who would should have the opportunity to do so and if it were legal they would regulate it better.

if it is made legal, at least they would pay VAT...on the other hand im worried about the spreading of STDs and about the degenartion of our moral values

prostitution is a certain evil and necessary evil altho it is evil. not that i would know but i do imagine  the people that know.

Yes it should be legal. The same with Marijuana. In the same way as the other person said. It could be controlled and taxed to keep all parties safe.

I think it should be legal.  I do not believe women should be criminalised for earning a living by doing something that is consensual between two people.

Prostitution is legendary from my point of view =D as for should it be legal, I don't see why not. In fact better to be able to police it and pass laws that protect the woman's rights rather than forcing her to accept poor treatment

I worked as a prostitute for a short time many years ago and I do not think that prostitutes are 'bad', but I met many who were very messed up people indeed - sexually abused as children and drug taking as adults.

It is a business that very few sorted out individuals can stay in for long - it is too closely connected to violence, drugs and other crimes.

Pimps are the scum of the earth and most brothel 'keepers' are complete a*seholes.

i think it's pretty gross, but the first guy makes a good point. also, i bet it would deter some sexual deviants from commiting some pretty heinous crimes. oh and everyone should keep in mind that prositutes aren't only women

It should definately be legal, but only the REALLY GOOD ONES become legend...

I'm not sure, I don't know that much about it. It would need to be rigorously controlled, to prevent trafficking and abuse.
