  1. Yes, yes it should. . . and old people.

  2. over here in england we do already have systems so its slightly cheaper for students and pensioners (i think pensioners get it free over 50) but to be hoenst students should get it free therre ussually scraped for cash over here keep in mind £1=$2 transport over here is at a minimal £1 but long trips from from one small town to another can be up to £7 thats $14 for u americans

  3. Yes. Where I live in England, it's £5 ($10) for a return ticket

  4. No - I think they should be free for pensioners

  5. Yes absoloutly its so expensive to travel

  6. Yes I think children travelling to and from school should all get free bus travel, Where I am kids that live more than 5 Kilometres from the school get a travel pass that allows them to travel free, However I would like to see every child get a free bus pass, even if the kid lives across the road from the school. the reason is that kids get hit by cars when they walk home and get involved in fights, at least while they are on a bus the driver can watch them I know a lot of kids will not use the pass if they live close by and thats ok, but just because you live close does not mean it is safe as some kids have3 to cross 6 lane highways to get home, if a bus travels along a route does it really matter if there is 10 kids or 20 kids on board it still costs the company the same amount of money to travel along that route

  7. It should be free or cheaper. If I had to catch the bus to AND from school (instead of just home) my bus fees would be almost equal to my school fees (public school).

And if someone doesn't have the money because of their young age they would be vulnerable while walking to their destination. We need our youths to be safer.

  8. yes, but only if they're going to or from school

  9. Heck yeah.. I think public transport should be free to students.. The main reason why some people can't get to school is because of money.. No for real!

I wouldn't want to buy a monthly bus pass every month and spend around 24 pounds.. I think us in the U.K. should allow people who go to college and university go for free. Not at child rate tickets, FREE.

  10. No. School buses are free to students, I think that is enough.

  11. i think so

  12. yes... i'm a student btw

  13. they should put the price back to $1, its such a hassle trying to find 20c.  or they could just make a $1.20 coin.  =P

but yea free would be easiest.

  14. 60 cents for the bus isn't going to break the bank

No just reduced cost for cabs

  15. It should be free for everyone. Along with health care and education

  16. I think it should be free for studens and pensioners and cheap for everyone else. :)

  17. Yeah it should. But there are A LOT of students out there using public transportation. So that would mean a lot of FREE transportation. So how would public transportation companies keep their companies going if they aren't making money? & I think that the transportation should only be free to students if they are going to or from school.

  18. Nothing is "free". Someone always has to pay for it, one way or another.

Since nothing really IS free to anyone, nothing SHOULD be "free" to anyone.

  19. yup

  20. students already get heaps of free/reduced price things, e.g movie tickets. its like $1 for a bus, i think its fine.

  21. indeed

  22. public transportation for students should be free. School is mandatory and we as parents have enough bills to pay. mean while the mta consistently raises its tolls while there heads are being payed millions in salary.

  23. Yes. But for use as transport to school and home only.

  24. Public transport should be free for all students who attend Public schools. Those who attend Private schools should have to pay!

  25. i think that you should get special student rates if you are at a nearby school.

like hold out a card and get 5 bucks off of a metro rate for the month.
