Plastic Surgery clinics advertise on televsion here in Europe.

Breast enlargement, liposuction etc..

We are all being encouraged to get more up top or less down below as if it was the most normal thing in the world .

Would that be permitted on U.K. t.v?

Is it harmful to aggressively sell cosmetic surgery?

  1. Yes but only show the "after"....

  2. No, we are breeding a generation of people (especially young women) not happy with what they've got - lowering self-esteem, encouraging surgery (or worse other ways of making oneself feel good - for example casual s*x  . . . ) I could go on!

Sorry my love but I don't think the sweep is yours, I'll shout you an ice cream to cover the loss.

  3. If it isn't already it will be. I won't like it, I can hear it now, someone saying to me "Stop tutting".

  4. Why not, it's 2008

  5. No, I don't  think it should be allowed because it gives young woman and girls the wrong ideas about body image. I don't believe that a woman has to be a toothpick to be healthy.

  6. Not only encouraged but realty t.v. has a show called extreme makeover that does the whole gammit....b***s, butt, teeth, hair, face.

  7. Yes and before you know it they'll be making reality shows like 'Celebrity Boob Job' and 'I'm a fake plastic person get me out of here'.

  8. No.

I don't think this sort of advertising can be justified.

  9. Hmmm don't know and what next lol plastic surgery is fine especially when neccessary to a person's health and low self esteem-there is the choice!

  10. I believe in free speech - it should be permitted.

I hate fake b***s... no girl should get herself mangled.  Small and natural beats big and deformed any day.

  11. To teenage girls yes, so for that reason I would say no to cosmetic surgery adverts in the UK

  12. in some ways i think it should be. If i were to want a boob job (which i dont) i would want to know a safe and well know place to have it done rather than some dodgy surgery that you dont know much about. I think they should advertise the dangers of pplastic surgery.

I think its got to a point where young girls want to look like these girls they see in the magazines and on tv and untill these companys change their ways and the pictures they put in there mags then this will always be an issue for girls whether its advertised or not.

I must say i have never seen an ad for "boob jobs"
